Afternoon to the house. I am going to keep this short.

Pieke is a safe space for me in many ways , brother hood is one of those ways. Being elected would put me in the position to build a brother bond with the new oaks and the old gents that’s already on the pieke family tree. I think we all should try to be the best towards others because some day in the future either they can be good to you or the wheel will turn and your attitude towards them will they reflect back to you. I’m not necessarily making my manifesto towards our fiscal outcome but more towards the emotional growth that we can find our self’s towards the end of the HK term. Being a HK member would mean I would have a chance to be part of a team of members that is willing to put themselves last and the needs of others before their own. Also Planning amazing events for others to see the joy brought to them. Being able to change something for the best of others is the end goal. So that the house can benefit from it.

Portfolio’s that I am interested in is , committee guardian ( first years ) and sports. I was fortunate enough to be part of an amazing first years com this year and we had great and big plans but unfortunately covid struck and we could not put these plans to action, so I would like to support the first years of 2021 in their journey, give ideas and help wherever I can. Sports because I enjoy exercise , played rugby through primary and high school and still enjoy the gym and any sport event I can participate in. I also did bi-and triathlon , swimming, cycling, tennis, cross country and cricket. So my sport back ground is fairly ranged.

Pieke made me enjoy the 2 months of Stellenbosch and I thought that being a HK member would be the greatest honour of our house, besides being prim, but it will also mean I would be able to influence the next generation of die Pieke man.
